Like other families in the Rogers area, you’re probably ready to put up your Christmas tree, if you haven’t already done so! ‘Tis the season for ornaments, tinsel, garland, gorgeous wreaths, and the smell of a real tree to cozy up your home.
Our kids insisted on getting a real tree this year, and I’m so glad they did. I forgot how wonderful that scent is and how many memories that fresh tree scent can bring back to mind. This past weekend we decided it was time to put up the tree, so on the hunt we went.
There are a few places to find real Christmas trees in Rogers; a few of them are listed below. We went to a local nursery, where we browsed around, looking for just the right tree for us. Poinsettias were gorgeous, supplies for wreaths and garlands were calling my name; but we were there for one purpose…to find our tree. As we all stood looking at this one tree, we agreed that it seemed just right. We walked around it, looking at it from every angle, making sure we all agreed on and wanted this particular tree. After all, picking out a tree is much like taking home an extra family member for the holiday season. It’s an important choice. It doesn’t have to be a perfect tree; sometimes the imperfections are what make a tree even lovelier. Finally, we made our choice.
The tree was wrapped, loaded up on the car, tied down, and off we went. Now for the fun of decorating that beautiful fir tree, transforming it into a beautiful Christmas tree. The memories created will last forever.

2) Westwood Gardens – At a friend’s recommendation, this is where we found our tree, a Fraser Fir. They have real trees, including living trees; they also have beautiful Poinsettias, wreaths, and garland. Location: 3112 West New Hope Road in Rogers.
3) Bradford Nursery – While they don’t have cut trees, they do sell living trees that you can plant when Christmas is over…the tree that keeps on giving. Talking to a representative of Bradford, he mentioned that you would need a bit more room for this type of tree, so definitely something to keep in mind. They’re open M-F, 8am to 5:30pm; Sat, 8am to 5pm; and Sun, 12pm to 5pm. Location: 1605 Prairie Creek Drive in Rogers.
