When I was a kid, I wasn’t able to compete in the traditional sports like basketball or volleyball. I came to truly appreciate the skill, dedication and opportunities found in less well-known activities. For me, it was forensics. For a group of 59 teams of athletes, coaches and families who are headed to Rogers this weekend for the 51st Annual Daisy National BB Gun Championship Match, it’s competitive shooting.
Rogers and the surrounding area offer all the elements you can imagine when visiting Arkansas, “The Natural State”. From towering pine trees, to beautiful lakes, to cavernous underground rivers, it’s all here in Northwest Arkansas. Our short weekend visit left us wanting to come back for more!

One of my favorite aspects about Rogers — and Northwest Arkansas as a whole — is how you can be in a suburban area complete with restaurants and attractions and within 15 minutes, you can be in the quietest places of nature.
